Friday Night Youth Club supports Christopher’s Smile

Friday Night Youth Club (FNYC) gave Karen and Kevin Capel, founders of Christopher’s Smile, a warm welcome on Friday.  FNYC raises money for charities every week through its Tuck Tax scheme as well as regular charity events such as Comic Relief.

FNYC listened to Karen and Kevin talk about their work to find better treatments for childhood cancer, before presenting them with a cheque for £100 towards their work.

The charities supported by FNYC have been chosen by the young people, and so George and Alfie, who nominated Christopher’s Smile, presented the cheque.

Karen commented “It really lifts your spirits to see such a big group of young people having fun and also being so generous”.  FNYC’s fund-raising efforts have been boosted recently by a mystery donor who matches any money they raise – doubling the impact of their giving.
